What is a Chartered Physiotherapist ?
Chartered Physiotherapists are recognised therapists working in private and NHS clinics. They treat people affected by injury, illness or disability in many ways, particularly through joint and soft tissue mobilisations, movement, exercise, education and advice. They work to maintain health for people of all ages, helping patients to manage pain, and prevent disability.
Physiotherapists aim for treatment to resolve and prevent further injury by integrating progressive rehabilitation exercises into each treatment on an individual basis, as well as utilising other therapeutic techniques.
What do Physiotherapists treat ?
Physiotherapy is most commonly used to help, and treat any musculoskeletal injury, or disorders (in other words, joints, muscles, tendons, ligaments or similar). This means that Ann can treat acute injuries like back pain, neck pain, disc bulges, whiplash, shoulder sprains, joint strains, trauma and nerve pain, as well as chronic problems like joint disorders, arthritis, fractures, joint replacements and post-surgery rehabilitation , previous damage, and degeneration. There is always something that can be done to help you, even if the problem is not able to be resolved in its entirety.
